How do you listen with your Heart? The Heart doesn’t have ears or does it?
We listen most obviously with our physical ears. It is a word most often associated with physical sound.
There is much more information available to us than just the sound of words. Sometimes it is good to look past the behavior, past the words and past the emotions.
Looking and listening deeper we come to the Heart. The Heart holds a key to true listening.
The Heart hears….where there is pain, loss, hurt, frustration, sadness, anger and more. It also knows joy, happiness, humor and more.
The Heart asks what is the highest good? What is the best answer for all concerned? The Heart knows how we are similar in love and fear, what we have in common. The Heart reaches out for “common ground”.
The Heart asks… “Where is the pain? Who is hurting? The Heart knows where there is hurt and pain. The Heart wants to comfort, to help and looks for ways to serve.
The Heart looks for the humor to lift and comfort.
The Heart asks “Who is afraid?” The Heart knows where there is fear, anger and confusion. The Heart seeks to understand. The Heart understands that nothing is black/white, all or nothing.
The Heart finds joy in understanding and in service.
The Heart recognizes truth and protects it.
The Heart is a vast and invaluable information gathering net that moves within us Listening is an art. It is also an art of the heART. It is a key that unlocks understanding and compassion and is valuable in any art form, especially the art of life.
Love calls us constantly. If we shut the door to dampen the sound of Love’s calling, we can miss the call.
The opportunities to hear the call of your Heart are ever-present but it can take practice to learn to “hear” the Heart’s voice over the noise and din of the mind, the emotions and the world.
This week’s Heart Haiku:
does your Heart have ears?
can it hear the call of need?
can it sense the sound of truth?
can it feel the song of Love?
if not, amplify your Heart
Love is calling you!
So beautifully said and Illustrated. Words of wisdom that I try to follow every day. I so love your posts?❤️
